Labor Day Weekend p1

Our weekend started on Friday, hubs took the day off for Gummybears appointment so we woke up early and got breakfast at chick fil a and then went to test drive Honda Fits because we are in the market for a new car. Test driving was fun. And by driving I meant riding shotgun while hubs drove. We talked to the salesman for an hour about prices, options, etc because it was the last day of the month and deals were to be made. After we kind of both delivered our hardlines on pricing, interest rate, etc we said we needed to think about it and went to our anatomy scan appointment. The appointment went wonderful after she let me finally pee after all that liquid they want you to drink. The Dr spent about 30 minutes talking pictures and showing us things, paying special attention to his face and hands. She kept having to press really hard to get him to cooperate and it was a lot more painful for me than I thought. She would poke and prod him, and in turn he would kick me. It wasn’t my fault!! It put a lot of pressure on my back and that started really hurting while she looked. Finally she had all the pictures she needed, reconfirmed he is a boy, and she left to have the other dr come in and read us the results. We have a perfectly healthy average (little bit fat) baby boy. Risks were ridiculously small and we are very relieved. She didn’t find anything like they did with Max. Look at that profile! Perfect:)
We left in good spirits for sure. At this point I suggested lunch (1:00pm), but hubby wanted to go buy the car first because "it wont take too long"...right.We headed back to the dealership and spent an hour negotiating, an hour financing, and three hours waiting or sitting for who knows what reason.  “lunch” became a granola bar at 5 pm. I was super grumpy by this point and we knew we needed to leave because we were driving to hubs brothers house for the night. We left the dealer (finally) in time to hit rush hour, and headed home to switch out cars and get hubs sister’s truck he had been driving so we could return it to her. We left around 6 and drove for 2 hours to our midway to his parents house stop with me following hubs in the new car. The day itself was really overwhelming. No lunch, healthy baby, new car, and driving. I HATE driving. Hate hate hate it. So I wasn’t at all pleasant by the time we made it up around 8. And having had a granola bar at lunch and no dinner. Plus driving. Ugh. We chatted for about 30 minutes with our brother and sister in law and saw their new baby again for a minute before everyone went to bed. We woke up super early to get a headstart on the three hour drive and off we were. Me again driving and following hubs. I called my mom and sister on the drive up and got to talk to someone the entire three hours. That part of the weekend will have to wait until I feel like typing a ton more. That picture is me in my bump-hide skirt and a portion of the new car :)
