LittleBear and I have been trying to find a routine that we
can both agree with and I am coming out the loser. Goodbye nap times. I miss
you. Someone only sleeps for 30-40
minutes now and then demands release from crib-prison. We caught him last night standing(!) at his railing crying for us. This is the first time he
has pulled himself up, and luckily I had the forethought to move the mattress down
a rung the day before. I could have ended really badly instead of the funny way
it did end. WE had heard him crying after we put him down… and as a rule we don’t
go in and ‘fix’ him unless he is stuck with a leg out. So we were letting him
cry but couldn’t see him because the camera had moved and he wasn’t in range,
so hubs decided to sneak in armycrawl style and fix the camera without
LittleBear being any the wiser. So on his stomach hubs crawls through the
doorway… being careful to stay below eye level of the baby so coming in doesn’t
mess him up further. Hubs gets halfway into the room and hears the crying stop.
He glances up and looks up right into BabyA’s eyes. Who was standing at the
rail looking down. So much for sneaking. It looks like BabyA stood up and then got
stuck without knowing how to get himself back down. So he was crying for us to
come in and rescue him from the standing position. Ahahahaha.
On that note. I have the laziest baby. He is still not
interested in crawling (almost 10 months!) and if he can’t reach it he doesn’t want
it. He can’t go from lying down to sitting either. He can go from sitting the
tummy (this is a recent development) but not the other way around. He can pull
himself up on things.. usually with a hand, and can walk while holding fingers.
But no crawling. The good news is I have not babyproofed. No need when he stays
where I leave him.
Nothing else really in our lives. LittleBear has 6 teeth now…
four top two bottom and he looooves to bite/chew things. Especially mommy. I
have been bitten twice nursing and I am not of big a fan of his teeth as he is.
