All in all we had a great weekend. I went to a church ladies
night at one of the women’s houses. We painted our nails and made body scrubs
while we talked and that was great. I’m glad I am really getting into our
church and joining things instead of just wishing I would. Despite the fact
that out of about 10-12 women there were two newborns and two pregnant ladies.
One with my due date. Other than the initial kick in the heart I think I did
well. We are coming up on Thursday, and it would have been my due date. How differently
things could have gone…
Saturday was bike riding and grocery shopping and lazing about.
Now our house is stocked with food and we have snacks! Sunday we joined the modern
age and bought a blender at costco along with smoothie making things. Not gonna
lie. Totally going to blend margaritas first. Maybe tonight after small group.
I have decided that I am not going to be as rigid this time around once we find
out we are pregnant. Last time I did everything right and did no caffeine and
no alcohol what-so-ever. And something still happened. Which I take as, you can
be as careful as you want and you still can’t control everything. So this time I
am going to relax and go with it. If that means half a beer or a cup of coffee
so be it.
My ‘period tracker’ app said this is my ‘green week’ aka
time to get it on and possibly make a baby. But I’m not sure how accurate that
is because it’s based off my last and only full cycle that’s 35 days. Since its
all sporadic anyway it might not be right. Luckily for the hubby we are still
going to ‘not prevent’ everyday anyway. Psh. Why lie? We are totally trying. But
are ok with a no for another month at least before we actually start timing
etc. So trying… without trying. Or I guess
giving my body every opportunity to get knocked up without actually propping on
pillows and waiting 15 min to get up. Next month if I get a no. Which I should
know either way according to the app on the 26th. Just in time to
drink or not drink at my friend’s bachelorette. I really pray it’s a ‘ill be
the DD party” !!
Hubby and I also started watching Downton Abbey (I know I’m
such a follower!) but I really like it! And really surprisingly hubs wasn’t bored
out of his mind! He actually laughed and enjoyed it. WIN! Now we have added it
to our Netflix cue along with Fringe and Game of Thrones. I read the first
three books and am waiting on the fourth and waiting on the show. Have a
mentioned I am a book nerd?
I got to have
breakfast with one of my old friends from college today, she comes to town
every month or so and we always get breakfast so it was really nice catching up
and talking about our friends, and lives, and our upcoming friend’s wedding and
bachelorette party. Which we plan on hijacking. Because she planned my
bachelorette and it was epic.. what I can remember anyways (as it should be).
